I scanned the shop. It seemed that all the kitties and cats minded their own business as you tried to look through the pens and kennels.

There were so many different types of cats!

There was an orange and white one, a brown one with white markings, a tan and brown furred one; there were dozens!

"They're adorable, aren't they?" Your Aunt Bell chuckled as she kneeled beside you, though still taller considering you were so short for your age

"So? Do you know which one you want?" She smiles at you, her hands on her lap

You just shook your head, worried about how the cats will act around you

Her grin seemed to grow ever so slightly "Oh! That's all right! The cats and kittens are going to love you, don't fret!"

Your face just grew hot with embarrassment. Were you that obvious?

"Oh, by the way…" She scratches the back of her head, chuckling sheepishly "Did you want a cat or a kitten..?"

You opened your mouth but closed it again to think, and it did take a while to decide

This is your future best friend here we're talking about!

"The kittens are really rambunctious, playful and all that! If you're looking for a playmate, kittens are the way to go! And they'll live longer as well…" Aunt Bell thoughtfully suggested "But cats are great companions! They'll cuddle with you and laze around with you too!"
