Yup. More cosplay. This time with kickass photography by Lionel of Usagichan Company Search and Rescue!Anywho, this is from Ohayocon 2007 where a few friends and I cosplayed as some of the DJs from the videogame Beatmania IIDX. That's Trisha as Xia, Tara as Nyah, myself as Tekka, and Walter and Nix. We won an Honourable Mention Craftsmanship Award! WOOHOO!
Beatmania costumes are fucking awesome. More people should cosplay from it! *nod*

I thought I'd tell you guys I thought your were one of the coolest cosplays I saw at ohayocon. I haven't played the game but I want to now XD great job

I remember seeing these on cosplay.com and absolutely loving them. You guys did such a wonderful job and so did Lionel. I especially like how you all payed attention to the details in the costumes - not ignoring the lines or textures.

the outfits look amazing. IIDX costumes are pretty hard to do but you guys did a great job. I dressed up as Xia a few years back at otakon and I think I saw a shem constume last year at the same convention.

Very good cosplay work. Beatmania IIDX is pretty awesome to see cosplayed indeed, but the costumes Goli designed for the characters are usually very complex. While a lot of people are willing to cosplay them, I'm not sure they'd be willing to craft the costumes unless they ordered them premade or did a half-arse job and skimped on the finer details. (Which is why props go to the unlazy craftsmen like you who put so much dedicated work into your IIDX cosplays!)

Honorable mention? Crap, that looks like first place work to me...really excellent job! Lovely shot here, too, kudos to your photographer! I find those poses really interesting.
