He asked for an anime styled DA ID, with a Tales of Vesperia theme to it. I used what he really looked like, and I must say...I love the mustache add in! Hee hee.

*EDIT: I made his chest a little bit wider, I drew in a little more details so his knees would apear higher as they were meant to be and there was a hidden layer that i pulled up. (The floating water spirit looking things, hee hee.) I hope you guys find the changes much better looking. Also! I fixed his thumb so it doesn't look so long.

As much as I would like to, I don't think I'm able to critique this piece of work. Why? Cause I can't find anything to suggest adding/changing/fixing, or anything close to it. I'm not saying this picture is perfect, as YOU may know something you may want to improve on with this pic, but in my eyes I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. (I am aware of seeing that you edited the picture)
So with the edit in consideration, since it's the first thing I saw, I have to tell you how freakin awesome this pic looks. The stance is probably more standard than I actually know, but it still is an excellent depiction for my first time seeing it. What really catches my attention the most though out of this picture is the water ripples and reflection. I've seen this enacted before in pics, but this is actually one of the first times I notice that in this one the ripples kind of make it seem like an actual small wave (showing the reflection off of such wave and being distorted) and going beyond simple 2D effects. Now I may be looking too hard at it XD which could be a possibility, but what I'm talking about really shows its greatest example in the bottom right corner of the pic, where the reflection cuts off at the end of the image. Anyway, really nice work here, and want to say again that this is awesome :3

And I am so glad you pointed out the water, it was so much fun trying to figure out how to make a reflection more realistic. I still think I need more work on the water shine and shading though. Thank you so much for this huge comment, even if it wasn't a critique, it was still a joy to read!

Thanks, the background I actually did at school since I had to go early to have a ride, my car is in the shop cause the air conditioner is out of freon to blow cold air.

I love how it came out, like usual, including how you drew the detail on his hair, the outfit, and that sword. .v. The body looks a bit small compared to his head though, and the knees are too low on the legs. The knees should be in the middle of the legs, not near the end! The thumb is also a bit too long on his right hand.
I hope he likes it!~

Thank you so much muffin! I see what you mean with the legs, I really tried to make his pants legs look long, but if it makes his knees look low, I think I will fix it. And I really need more practice with drawing guys, his frame must be too small. I guess I could try to make his chest bigger or his head smaller? lol.
