And another Border collie drawn for illustration class. Thought I'd post it before putting it in the album for finals.It was supposed to go from coloured to grayscale, but guess I didn't succeed this time... but I got the expression I wanted for it.
Heed up!
Done with Faber Castell polychromos. (good pencils!)

Good luck with them! Just remember not to worry if you mess up, sometimes it's easier to learn something by try and mistake than with a book. Or at least that's how I learned how to use polychromos.
A little advise: if you're using heavy paper (more than 90 gr, which is the one I recommend to start with) unless you want a fine, subtle layer, press the pencil a bit more, or it'll leave little blank spots on the paper. That always happens with heavy paper (in my case, I always use 180 gr) because these pencils have a base of oil and sometimes it's pretty hard to cover the paper, you get a grey-ish color if you don't fill the paper.
Don't worry, practise is the key. I'm looking forward to see your works when you get used to your new pencils!
