Well, basically, Carbon is trying to get Monti to let Rae go on her own and experience life. Monti doesn't trust him at all, and doesn't want him around her. He's got the hotts for Monti (wouldn't any stallion?), so half the plan is to get Rae on her own and the other half is to get Monti alone with him lmao.
