Description this is for contest. i did my best i hope you like it! it's been a long time since i joined one...
maybe i'll also join the plushie contest too? deadline for that one issooo~ close!!!

eriko is just one of those characters that i just want to try to draw. a simple and cute character! plus red eyes and light blue hair is really endearing for me! XD lol! i like the idea that he has the sky as his element.and i think i am loving this shojo-ish type of coloring... ehehe....
i originally planned putting Nekuro at the BG but havn't had the time to color it so will give the line art to *Erik-DeLacroise for a collab ^__^ hope that's okay with you.

if you guys like the coloring effect... experiment on using brush tool in 90% oppacity while flow is at 10% and using blues and purples for the shadows... as taught by mistress ~trinitycross

i felt that the BG was... blank... and i thought... AHA! birdies! so i just stroked with lines with mouse and it turned out quite nice! even if it's noting original, it did the trick! hahaha! thank you for noticing!

Oh, so beautiful! I think the coloring style turned out good! I am in love with the pose .. as if he's reaching out.. with hope? happiness? And THAT NECKLACE! I love loooooooove it, and how it conveys some motion~! As if he's falling and reaching for something.. or just in pure heaven~

AND THE BIRDS IN THE BACKGROUND WAHAHAH I LOVE LITTLE DETAILS LIKE THAT XD *shot* It certainly makes the piece very serene and.. well. .. 'float' like feelings all around!

how you colored everything (minus the hair) looks like you colored it with watercolor. ^^

salamat po! ksi... matagal na rin pong wla phone sa bahay so wla internet... wala ring pera fort rentals at nasira pa disk drive namin... buti na lang pinahiram ako ng flash disk ni warse-no-miko so up-load nako pics sa photobucket para makapag-submit at lieast twice a month pansin kong inaamag nsa works ko sa PC lol! salamat po!

ahahaha!! i really found this comment amusing! i never really thought that "Chien" would be "dog" in french! lol! XD i just though "chien" was a very chinese sounding word and it being "sky" it actually inspired me to do the drawing

OMG OMG OMG Oh my Lord! Oh the Piggy-sama xO YAY!!! this is AMAZING!!!! whoa...whoa I don't have words to describe this...is just COOL and GREAT!!!. The lineart is very clean, the pose is awesome, I love his face, very cute ^w^ and his hand is great *-*

The expression of his face is uber cute!. The idea to use a sky for the BG is great! I can say that you really read all his information n_n (not all the people did that 'cause everybody ask what's his element so you made my day finally somebody read everything! (lazy people )

The hair whoa I love it *w* the form, the color. The CG in general is awesome! you really know where are the bright and the shadows and everything, very nice, I love shojo CG style . I love the feather that he's trying to catch ^w^

so sorry! i feel really guilty to not have replied sooner... but your comments really made my heart swell! thank you! thank you!!! i am happy that you loved him! because i surely loved drawing him! he has so many potential as a character! i was even surprised how popular he's become in my gallery! 40 faves! wow! 0u0!

i made his face cute since that was how you drew him! cute with really big expressive eyes!
hahaha! and well.. i need to know and understand the character first before i can draw them... one refferrence picture is not enough for me or vague descriptions... mostly i drop it off it that's the case
besides, it was fun reading about eriko being dressed up as a girl when he was small! lol!

ah! and about the collab, if you want to put it in your gallery, feel free to do so! i am afraid that i can only post female characters this month as a promise and i only post finished works in my gallery, but if ever, i'd really love to post it in my LJ acct or in my Y! gallery when your finished! i am really exited as how this will turn out! but no pressure! take you time and enjoy!

Eriko is a boy I know he has girl name but is a story behind that...'cause I know you don't want the long story : His mom is a really big fan of Eriko Tamura (a japanese idol singer), so she wanted to had a girl and call her like that...but she had a boy, but she still was with the idea to have a son/daughter with that name ^_^
