Description
"There's this beautiful girl who smiled at me... her gaze was intense, her smile was sweet and everything else about her was intriguing. She stood against a bluish-purple webbed-like background, and as i was looking at her, i knew it: she is not one of us... And i didn't know what to think."This was the dream of one of my friends.
It really did haunt him the following day. He couldn't stop telling me about it again and again, so bothered it might become real! I advised him to avoid cosplays and costume parties. Lol. Though it's hard for him to do that (he's so costume party whore!), but there's a probability that "others" will blend in, right?
Hmmm.... lemme ask, what if this happened to you? what would you do? and what would you think?
I'm thinking... i'm so like him myself not knowing what to do. Haha!
And.... this work's done without digital editing. yeay! coz the scanner did not kill the colors that much though there's quite some sort of difference... I used a lot of coloring media for this one (watercolors, colored pencils, oil pastel, ballpoint).

Oh yeah. It troubles me too. i wish i didn't made those shiny black lines coz i taught it was cool. Since this work is done in tradi, i couldn't do anything about it. Sorry~!

I love this picture! There's just something about it.
I think she is absolutely wonderful: her expression and pose
is spot on; her atire is amazing; her colouring is great; bvut
I think the crowning achievement is the hair. Fantastic. The
background is pretty damn cool too, except I feel like it doesn't
allow the distinguishment from her wings (they are her wings right?!);
that might be the effect you are going for, but personally I think it
would work better with a plain background or even a landscape.
Also, there is a series of black lines down the bottom which
I found mighty distracting.
All in all though, this is amazing. I suddenly have to urge to
get down on my knees and beg you to draw me and make me as cool as this!

You did a fantastic job with this. The background has a slight figure ground issue, with her wings blending in with the background; but its nice - enjoyable.
