On tumblr: (link)So my father got me ArtStudio for my iPad, and I had to see what that little thing can do, so I decided to finally paint some fanart for Miracle of Sound's awesome song "Dream of Goodbye."
I know the eyes are too big and the mouth is too small, but baby steps, I'm still just in the developing stages of trying to get better at colouring and shading.
I also really would have liked to make Rapture look a little more exciting, but what can ya do, I'm crap at both backgrounds and buildings. This pic's like the perfect storm of everything I need to get better at.

I always liked a good bioshock Fanart , and this is a good start for one.
What I liked most about this piece most is the background. It shows us the great city in the sky, but also the lost city of Rapture. I for am a HUGE fan of Bioshock, and the background is something that I have not seen yet.
Another thing that was good: the sketchy style and the shadowing. While it is a little off, it does help with details, such as the wrinkling of the shirt and the style of the hair. I also liked how the sky seemed to be where the light came from, giving the effect of shadow came from behind her. Possibly my favorite part of the whole thing.
In all, this is a great piece of art, and while it does have it's flaws, it seems to be a nice start. I hope to see more of this, and that the artist become better each time.
