I recall being on a trip from South Carolina to Missouri with my family when that song was popular. We had to keep finding new stations as you had to do in those days and that song seemed to come on about every thirty minutes. So my middle-aged parents, a teen (me), and my single-digit-aged brother and sister would all do various lines. Nice way to keep peace in the family car on a long trip. We left in the afternoon and drove all night. I recall being barely awake while pulling the final leg along I-70 from St. Louis to Columbia as the sun came up.

Hah, I remember drawing that while my in-laws were visiting.  I did most of the car, leaving blank spots at the top of the left quarter panel, then finished up the girl after they left.
