Description Name: Chase.

Age: 24/?.

Sex: Male.

Race: Arrancar.

Height: 6'0''.

Weight: 155 lbs.

Personality: At first glance, Chase appears to be a careless man with a cold demeanor; if spoken to however, one would be quick to see that he's a pretty jovial man, but not in the most positive ways. He likes to get under another's skin like no other, and is prone to taunting and angering them in some way. This leads to many people generally finding him to be annoying and often showing a strong dislike towards him. And on the surface, he takes in amusement of their reactions to him. He is very affectionate towards women, often joking around with or flirting with them and invading their personal space, regardless of whether they're taken by another or not.

On a deeper level, if one were to somehow see past his immaturity, would find him to be as normal as any other person. If he isn't around a whole bunch of people at once and knows the individual well enough, he would be more respectful towards them and could prove to be an asset over time. When the man is training or in any sort of serious situation, he tends to not take it too seriously. When it comes to fighting, his outlook doesn't change much, unless he's losing, and at that point would start taking it seriously. If he were to lose, he would do everything he could to ensure a victory the next time around.

Appearance: Classically taper-cut red hair that is cut close around the perimeter and gradually gets longer towards the top; the top is cut in layers and is thin. His face is firm-framed and his eyes are violet in color; a fang is constantly protruding from his upper lip. He's tall, fair-skinned, and well-toned with muscle. He is of Australian descent, and it is evident in his voice and slang.

Clothing-wise, Chase wears a long-sleeved jacket that blooms out in a bowl shape starting at the bottom of his neck and going up; the rim of his collar and sleeves are trimmed with black. A zipper starts at the top of the collar of his jacket and repeats a downward/diagonal line twice, stopping at his right side right below his right pec and then making a straight line the rest of the way down. He wears standard hakamas and footwear. On his left side his sash holds his zanpakuto there.

Likes: Fighting, training, challenges, sleeping, flirting with women, highly elevated places, taunting and playing with his opponents, nighttime, occasionally angering others, drinking, food, and having fun.

Dislikes: Losing his fights, being cold, others looking down on him, giving up, feeling weak, being rejected by women, being told "No." in general, and seeing his allies harmed.

History: Chase was born into a strict family. On the day of his birth his mother had been sickly and did not survive long after. He was left with only his father, Dominic, to raise him; the man blamed to boy for his wife's death and had then on held resentment for him, and let him know this as he aged. Not long after Chase had turned six, Dominic, being a military man, was transferred over to Japan for his work. Although Chase had only been in Australia for those six years of his life, he found it difficult to just up and leave, but he of course had no choice in the matter.

Very shortly after arriving and settling down in their new home in Sapporo City, Japan, Dominic enrolled Chase into a school. Unlike most kindergarteners who stayed in one room all the time, he was flip-flopped between normal classes and a Language class that taught kids Japanese. It was very difficult in the beginning for him to understand, but he was quick to get a grip on the foreign language. He could socialize more with the kids around him and make friends. Chase was always a show-off and a glutton for punishment, which attracted the attention he so craved from others. He absorbed every little bit of attention he was given; it replaced what little his father ever gave.

One of the first people he came across while at school; her name was Hoseki Seki. Upon hearing that name from the girl, he had mercilessly taunted her for it. A short time after that incident did that girl have her name changed to "Jewel Stone"; surprisingly enough, they became friends. He had other friends, sure, but he liked to spend a lot of his time trying to pester Jewel in some way because she was so easy to anger, so easy to get attention from without really needing to try. Even though he was a pain in the ass to her (and others more often than not), they eventually became best friends; inseparable.

When Chase was around ten, he was beginning to desire his father's attention more, so he watched him, trying to figure out 'something' that would make him pay attention, love, and accept him. Dominic was a military man, so he'd use that; he told his father that he wanted to learn self defense, because he wanted to join the military someday. His father approved of this, and Chase showed particular eagerness in learning all about it he could. Dominic gave him basic training (swordplay, simple fighting skills, etc) in his free time. It was during this time that Chase had learned that his father had desires for his best friend's mother; he said nothing to Jewel about it.

Roughly a year and a half later, Jewel's father had apparently committed suicide, and had left the family in shambles. During Jewel's time of grief, Chase did what he could to try to get her past it; be there for her. It didn't seem to have taken a lot of time for the crying to stop, but she was colder as a person afterwards; this did nothing to their relationship. Through spending time with her, however, it did influence his personality a tiny bit, and he developed a calmer, more serious streak as well. Not long after this whole incident did he start to develop feelings for her, and she for him. It was something they would never admit or say to one another; never did more than the occasional hand-holding or a hug. The "puppy love" was squished like an unsuspecting bug, however, when he walked her home one day after school and her mother had announced that she and Dominic were going to get married. It was one of the most horrifying moments of his life at that point, and it was just plain awkward for Jewel. They still remained good friends, but there was no more hand-holding or hugging after that.

After Jewel's mother and Dominic had married, he and his father moved in with them, since their home was larger. Chase continued his training with his father and did well in school. Around age 15, Chase discovered the nasty truth behind Jewels' father's death; Dominic had actually murdered him. He gained this knowledge from a gang of creepy men (who weren't much older than he was) who had helped Dominic commit the homicide. He wanted to tell someone, the police, Jewel…but couldn't see how anyone would believe him without any evidence. His father would be angered at him if he told anyone, and Chase feared what he might do to him. Not only did the fear of his father hurting him drive him into silence, but the fear of Dominic being disappointed in him also kept him quiet. Although his father was a horrid man, he was also his 'father', and didn't want to lose what relationship they had built. Dominic had begun to focus on Chase more now that he was older, and Chase wanted nothing more than to make him proud.

In his last year of high school, everything had been going well for a while, until tragedy struck again, and Jewel, his best friend since childhood, was killed. It was a topic that ravaged the news for a few days, and it left him completely devastated. He wanted to know why, tried to get to police to tell him everything they knew, but they could only file it as a homicide; they had no idea who had done it, had no suspects. At first, he fell into a lonely state because he was so used to having her around, and eventually became solitary. At this point, Dominic reached out to him more – offered more extensive training, which Chase took; it was a great stress reliever.

Time eventually helped Chase to move on from the loss, and he had gone off to college to get a degree in Aviation as a preparation for the military life he still had his mind set to. The constant work further helped him, and he could see a bright future for himself, until he found out something one night that Dominic had been hiding from him for years. His father had been cleaning his sword and knife collection, was particularly fond of a certain knife he had been cleaning. Chase had merely been visiting, passing through when he could hear Dominic muttering to himself. After walking in and talking to him for a little, his father had revealed all-too-jovially that Jewel's death was of his doing. Chase had felt a familiar devastation fall upon him, but something was quick to push that back; anger. This anger drove him over the edge and he had snatched the knife from Dominic's grip before he could react and tried to murder the man. After moving out of the way and grabbing a sword, a fight between father and son ensued, and even with knowledge of his fathers' moves, the knife he had was no match for the sword he was up against. The situation only turned from bad to worse; Dominic was over the edge, too, and on a strong impulse had stabbed his son through his stomach, heart and then neck. Chase fell right then and there, and Dominic, even after his adrenaline spike, felt no remorse and had no regrets for what he had just done.

Ressureccion: The metal part of the blade is scraped across his fangs with the command and name following. A flare of his burnt orange reiatsu rises and feathers away after a few seconds, his form being revealed. Dark red fur covers his entire torso and arms, the fur fading to black upon reaching his clawed hands and the lower half of his body; his feet are clawed like his hands. His facial features are consisted of two large violet eyes whose irises dominate most of the eyes, rendering him completely blind. Two large fangs protrude from his upper lips and extend to the beginning of his chin; the fangs are the relocation spot for his mask fragments. Two large, red, and furry laid-back bat ears on the sides of his head serve as excellent receptors for hearing the opponent. The most noticeable thing about his appearance are his hulking wings. They are twice his size and white, consisted of what looks like horribly pieced together bone fragments.

Though the man is blind in his ressureccion, he can still sense his opponents by using a sonar system, in which the shapes are determined by the sound waves the opponent gives off, or by their reiatsu output.

Ressureccion Abilities:

Once his large fangs have sunk into the skin, he'll start to furiously suck on the wound, but their blood is not the only thing he takes; their reiatsu is slowly sapped away as well, and over time made to leave them too tired to fight or even move.
