I think out of the main party, Lance would have the easiest time talking to Varian. And the kid would have no choice but to love these antics and jokes. There is no running away from this guy. 8D

And... I know, right? While the main trio has enough reasons to treat the kid roughly, it'd be great if there was this one guy who wouldn't get too emotional over what happened. And I think Lance fits that role very well, considering his attitude so far.

It's not something I had in mind while drawing, but, in context of the second season (since I'm all up-to-date now!!)

Yeah, the second season is fun! Not much in terms of plot so far, but the first one was kind of similar in that regard so I don't mind that much.
I kinda raised my eyebrows at Hook Foot and his love story. XD
Also, I can't believe Lance is hitting on Adira?? Like, that woman is probably twice his age, at least, considering the flashback???
And that scene with "Varian". Ahhh, it was so great!! Its timing was so unexpected, they really got me there! The coat makes me laugh, though.
I think the latest episode created a pretty good set up for some insight into Corona's situation. Maybe we'll get something after the break, after all?
...I just want to see Fred and Arianna and Varian againnn! ;---;
And no one bothers to tell Lance to shut up because the kid is actually behaving himself!

I'm not going to lie, I thought I wouldn't like the Hook Foot love story epsiode, but I ended up enjoying it.
Also I thought the same exact thing about Lance and Adira, and at first I was super surprised. And it's still weird.
I was so glad to see Varian again, at that point I think I was about to accept the fact that we won't see him in this season.
That's what I thought too, it looks like the next episode is going to take place in Corona. If not, I'm going to be a little upset.
The others are probably thankful for Lance, he'd be the number one guy to go to if they wanted something from Varian.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I enjoyed HookFoot's episode but in this... bizarre way, like, I watched the entire thing with a "Are you kidding me?" expression on my face. xD I mean, he gave a mermaid a hook as a memento. He gave a hook to the fish lady, what the heck??
I kinda hope Lance's attraction to Adira will wear off eventually. Like, he'll learn about her age or something. Because it felt kind of awkward when he made some of his comments. :'D I can't blame him, since she hardly looks any different than in the flashback, but still (I wonder if there is a reason for that or if the animators just... didn't notice? But Quirin looked younger in the same flashback so it might be the former??).
...You think this might be the one and only time we see Varian in this season? Uh, on the bright side, LOOK, JEREMY JORDAN GOT TWO LINES AFTER ALL. NOT ONE. TWO!! /shot
My main doubt when it comes to Corona-centered episode is still the fact that the main party is not there and I can't see them making an episode without Rapunzel (especially after they changed the name to Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure). But I'd welcome this kind of episode and if they were to make one, now is a good time. Man, fandom would flip tables if the first thing we saw after the break was Varian Corona. Then again, we'll probably flip tables anyway.
Haha, Lance would be known as a Mediator in Varian-related Matters XD I can see him being all proud like "Yeah, you need something from the kid? Look no further! This guy *points at self* is the one you're looking for! 8D" He'd dump his current job and take money for this instead, he'd make fortune.

I guess it supposed to represent a part of him? But yeah I agree, it's a weird gift. Also when I saw him giving it to her I was like how are you going to walk? Then in the next scene he has his leg so...yeah.
I'm not sure if Lance's crush will fade away, but it'd be nice to know his age too. He's probably a bit older than Eugene, but we don't know for sure, or at least I don't recall him ever saying how old he was.
But yeah, I'd like to know Adira's age too because she barely changed? She looks the same in the flashback.
That's my problem too, I didn't expect to see Corona because they were so focused on Rapunzel and the others, and the journey clearly isn't over yet but they set up the last episode in such a way that I wouldn't be surprised if we'd get a 'what's up in Corona' episode.

I laughed hard at this because even Seraphina was like "Really, Hook Foot?". XD I don't mind the weirdness because it was clearly on purpose. Perhaps the whole episode happened just for this joke. And yeah, right after he gave it to her I was like "So, are you going to crawl now or..?" but apparently not. Maybe his whole luggage consists of hooks? It makes the gift less special, but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised. XD
I guess Lance's "crush" is just... there. I don't know, I'm honestly confused because I can't think of any bigger developments in this case, but at the same time... why would it even pop up in the first place? o--o'' Lance hitting on Adira is not a problem by itself but with this flashback it's just strange, because by the time they meet, you know she's much older than the rest. Maybe it's just supposed to show us that Lance likes ladies that can kick his, uh, bottom? XD I'm still not sure why they would pick Adira out of all people but okay. I'm probably overthinking and it'll be gone after a while.
Right, I'm also curious about Lance's age. He never said how old he was, that's for sure. I also think he might be a little bit older than Eugene, few years, at most. We only know they were in the same orphanage so I'd say the age gap is not too big if they managed to stay in touch even after leaving? But it's pure speculation on my part. I don't know how Corona's orphanages work. 8D
Adira is immortal. Calling it. Or cursed. Or dunno.

Well, if it’s about Lance liking women who can kick his butt, then why didn’t he develop a crush on Cassandra? Sure she isn’t as skilled as Adira but I’m pretty sure he seen her in action?
Also the flashback took place 25 years ago, and Adira already looked like an adult. Or she could pass for a young adult if her hair is naturally white? I have no idea, but she’d be still too old for Lance.

That's the thing! I just can't come up with a good reason why it's Adira out of all people. XD The only thing that comes to my mind is that they want to make a big (or joke-like) reveal about her age and make Lance die of heart attack. ...Or/and prove that "older" ladies can be just as attractive as younger ones??

Well, considering her appearance in the flashback and her current one, I'd say she's 40, at least. That would make her 15 in the flashback, which I think is still way too young. With Quirin (who seemed to be her equal when it comes to position?) and that unknown King around, I can't see her being younger than 20-something.
Still, I find it hard to believe they went out of their way to make Quirin look younger and forgot to give Adira the same treatment. There must be a reason behind it.

Yes, that's what I thought too. I'd say she's around Quirin's age.
And I'm not sure how accurate this is since I don't think they ever clearly stated how old he is, but on the rapunzel's tangled adventure wikia it says that Quirin is a 'middle-aged man'. And middle-age refers to people between the ages of 45 and 65, according to wikipedia, so...yeah.
Adira is old.
Also this is just speculation, I could be totally wrong about this.

Quirin's exact age is also unknown, I'm pretty sure. Still, "middle-aged man" makes sense. He's 40-something, at least, considering his current appearance. And in the flashback, he's certainly an adult already.
(I'd consider 50-something, personally)
I expect Adira to be around the same age, too. But her unchanged appearance is suspicious.
