There was one story I read where James lived, but Lily died (because if she hadn't died for Harry, he would have died), and Harry and James got separated until Harry wasΒ a teenager.Β But the author completely botched the scene where Harry and James reunited. It was like James had gotten home from a weekend vacation, not long-lost father and son reuniting.
In my story, James and Lily died, but Regulus lived. He was keeping his head down in America for years, but once he heard Sirius wasn't in Azkaban anymore, he came back to England.

I prefer stories where Voldemort picks Neville and leaves Harry alone. And zero Dumbledore bashing and no abused Harry by Dursleys. Or the dark lord Potter crap.

Well, that outlaws MY story. Because in mine Harry did get abused and there is Dumblebashing...although that's only because Harry suffered as a DIRECT RESULT of Dumbledore's stupid decisions. I really don't like him, actually. But the Dark Lord Potter is the dumbest thing ever, I agree with that. I read a story like that once and it REALLY sucked.
