So this thing would likely have some kind of super-advanced "eye" or sensory organ to act as a scope for itself, right? That's the only way I could imagine it being as accurate as you put it to be when hip-fired.
It's a really creative design, and would look like it could fit in the lore. I would have colored it more green and brown rather than red and brown, but that's just m 2 cents about it.
