This painting was made on September 29, 2012. The nature in this painting, like most parts of nature in my paintings, represents life. Sometimes we feel that life is surrounding or suffocating us. That's exactly what the vines are doing. Situations get to hard to figure out that we feel like everything is coming at us at once. We sometimes can't handle it. The main idea of this painting is the glowing window. Outside of a window you'd expect to see nature, otherwise known as the outside world. Even though these vines are trapping and hurting the main character she still wants to see all of what's outside of that window even though she knows that what's out there is very similar to what's hurting her. This is similar in some situations. Even though we get hurt in life we still want to see and experience everything from it.
