Yay my greatest creation is complete! I have adored the Giant Tomy Suicune since I first saw it, but I would never be willing to shell out multiple $1000s for one, especially since its not super soft or cuddly. So I made my own! I wanted Sui to be laying so I could cuddle her easily. And she was the first plush project I made using my sewing machine. It made her much quicker than Lulu the Lugia, even though Suicune was more complex. I only had to hand sew parts of the face, the body diamonds, and to attach large body parts. I also took a different strategy with the eyes, embroidering them on felt first, and then sewing them into the minky, rather than embroidering directly onto minky.

For the filling, I used polyfill for most of the body and mane, plastic beans in the feet and belly, and a high loft quilt batting for the white wavy pieces and the head piece. It was a great way to make a dent in the huge 10lb box of polyfill thats been cluttering up my house lately

My favorite part of Suicune is that I left a gap when attaching the purple mane to the body. Its only tacked down in the front and back, leaving a nice arm hole so I can slide my arms in between her back and mane for cuddle time

My other Suicune loves for scale, the Tomy Suicune and Suicune Pokedoll.
