Mihari is the 4th seat of squad 12, standing out due to his hairstyle and his sunglasses. having been born without eyes, he at first learned to see by sensing his surroundings. but after joining squad 12, he mostly took part in experiments that could help him see. finally succeeding in crafting small orbs and infusing them with kido. through an operation they were placed in his sockets and linked to him. these help him see, but seeing small balls float and otherwise empty sockets looks creepy, thus, he wears sun glasses, which he also experimented on to improve his sight further.
when on the job, he mostly works with tech. his enhanced eyes and keen senses allow him to see and pick up on the smallest things happening. also can he see and differentiate between people's spirit energy. this also allows him to follow, as his glasses have been installed to be able to track people. and with some eyes in the sky to increase the scope of his vision, he can pretty much see everywhere in the Seireitei, though not all at the same time.
when not on the job, Mihari tends to read books, keeping up on his studies and talks about experiments with his lieutenant. but at other times, he tends to be a pervert, watching women bathe. though some have noticed they were being watched and since that kept happening, the out door hotsprings have had roofs build over them, to prevent peeping. now Mihari is working on ways around that.

Zanpaktou: 警笛 - Keiteki - Foghorn
in its sealed state, it looks like a normal katana with a brown cloth wrapped around the hilt.
release phrase: "sound the alarm; Keiteki!"
in its shikai form, it looks like a massive horn, both one for stabbing and for blowing

Techniques:
耳をつんざく - Mimi o tsunzaku - Deafening; after giving this command, Mihari blows his horn, creating a sonic shock, released in the way he's aiming. the more spirit energy he puts in his weapon, the more powerful the sonic blast. the more focused he is, the smaller/more compressed it becomes and the faster it moves.
補強 - Hokyō - Reinforcement; after the command, Mihari blows the horn. so long as he knows the location of comrades, which through his eyes he usually does, he can make portals for them to use. either to come and help him, or for others to help each other. so long as he can see the location and has enough spirit energy to reach that spot.
(for this occassion, he's placed speakers on his eyes in the sky. sending the sound of his horn and his spirit energy to them, he can reach and get/send help to anyone in the Seireitei.
