Description
This piece was inspired by a T-Rex skeleton at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. It's right as you walk in, towering above the entrants. I suppose it's pose is meant to be scary, but to me it always looked as though it was scared of something on the ground, which was my inspiration for this drawing.
Though seeing it finished, I'm not sure it quite reads that way. Now it kind of reminds me of that scene in Hotel Transylvania where Johnny has to scare Esmeralda...

I thoroughly enjoyed working on this piece. I tried a new technique and it was great fun playing with the medium. At times I definitely felt like it got away from me. Looking at it finished, however, I'm happy with it.
