Very cute and stylish.
But if I may dispense some constructive criticism, it would have been better if somehow connected to the games. The thing is, you have to spell out Ryo is Ryo. If the drawing was somehow more "Shenmue-esque" (clothes, location, peripheral details...), people would recognize Ryo immediately.

This is sort of a reference to the photos and flash backs you see of Ryo in Shenmue. Childish things like Ryo not wanting to eats his carrots. I'm sure as a boy he spent pleasant days at the beach. everything I do is saccharin cute~ It's just the way I illustrate. I'm not sure if you've seen any of my other shenmue illustrations, but this one is just one I've been kicking around in my head for over a year now. when I sketched it, it was as a meant to look like a Polaroid photo.

I see what you mean with this comment- hopefully you may see where I was coming from with it too.. it's kinda my personal love-letter to a youthful, more carefree Ryo.
I don't think most of my watchers are even familiar with Shenmue so it's always so it's just a nice surprise anytime I come across other fans.
