Tearing across the desert plane, Heart was in furious pursuit of a long-neck that was kicking up much dust, obscuring his vision and making it difficult for him to keep his prey in sight.
Darn! he thought with impatience, I'm not leaving on an empty stomach! This long-neck is going to be mine!
With a burst of speed, he veered out of the dirt clouds and ran straight for the terrified long-neck, jaws wide in a final roar as he was going to end the chase once and for all.
But before he could leap towards it, there was a green blur and the long-neck was slammed into the ground with a bone breaking force, with the assailant still clinging to the side of its neck. Heart skidded to a slower momentum and began to storm the competitor with a snarl, ready to take back the prey HE had been after.
Ripping a chunk of meat from the spot it had clamped onto, an olive-colored she-rex with a diamond marking whipped around in a start with her own defensive snarl. But the moment their eyes met, the snarling stopped.
"Bloom?" Heart asked.
"Heart?" the she-rex asked back.
After a moment of awkward silence, Bloom sheepishly looked down at the dead long-neck she realized she had technically stolen from him and spit the chunk of meat from her mouth. "I didn't know you were chasing him, there was a lot of dust and... Sorry. This was your kill."
"Ah," Heart sighed, "He was challenging... I guess we're having lunch together." He would have caught the long-neck regardless, but the quicker take-down did help him to conserve energy; the lunch offer was the only fair thing to do.
And he did want to catch up on news of the plains...

I've been needing to draw Bloom again for a while, but I've just never really felt a right scenario for Bloom (aside from a drawing based on Danny Sexbang's "Dinosaur Laser Fight".) This one might help establish what grounds Bloom and Heart are on.
Bloom isn't a food thief, the only reason she and Heart had the same kill was since Heart was out of vision. They're both on highly respective terms (considered to be a very light friendship, I guess) due to Heart having brought Beckon food (Recap: She's Beckon's granddaughter) and his antics pissing off Gonza and his gang. This pic probably might take place around a month or two after the Egg Mountain eruption, I dunno.
