I used to like Knuxouge in the past. A lot. This couple was the reason of me starting to shipping couples. But now not anymore. Now I see their interactions as just Knuckles Bashing. Knuckles Bashing is the reason why I don't ship Rouge Couples. Rouge is better single. But I'm okay with people shipping it.
I wish there are a stamp saying "I have a love-hate to Knouge", because that is my opinion about this couple now. I still can like if is written well.

-There is more important reasons about why this couple is piece of crap .
1- Knuckles should save echidna race and legacy with Tikal or Shade , Rouge can't fulfill this role .
2 - Knuxouge is nothing more than fanserivce , a lot of people who played SA2 , sense of sexual tension between them .
3 - Knuckle and Rouge interactions are pointless after SA2 and has nothing to do with the story except Rivals 2
4 - Knuckles and Rouge don't irrevelant each other in their personalities , roles in the franchise , backstories .
keep in your mind that I like Rouge and I have nothing against Knuckles , I just can stand this couple .
-Rouge isn't suppose to interact with Knuckles after SA2 , she suppose to continue her ambitious and improve her skills , her interactions with Shadow and Eggman are more relevant to the story than interacting with Knuckles (except Forces) , heck she is suppose to interact with many characters to collect information and reach her goals , like many Spies/theifs do , yet 90% of her interactions limited to Knuckles and Shadow .
-Knuckles should stay loyal and pure to his duty and race , having Shade or Tikal around would help so much .

Yes, Knuckles needs to save his race. But SEGA can't use the echidnas, because of Ken Penders. Also SEGA never change the ages of the characters. So it isn't necessary.
Don't you think you are exagerating? The games doesn't have any pairings to begin. The Knuckles and Rouge schenes are just comedy schenes. And about Rouge, she isn't the only character who doesn't interacts with other characters. Do you want to know why she just interacts with Knuckles and Shadow? Just one reason: Classic Sonic Fans. It's because of them, that just Sonic is playable now and the other characters doesn't get the deserved respect.

Since when Pen Kender owns echidna race ? he owns only his OCs , but not Tikal , she appeared in Sonic runners , even Sonic channel made a short comic about like other characters . Sega could do a better story about echidna race better than ken's . No , Knuckles would benefit from Tikal or Shade , to guard the M.E. when needs to leave angel island , so don't look like an idiot , leaving the most powerful emerald with no guard
Exagerating ? No , they could let her interact and every other character in scenes and comics , if they were little more smarter .
Knuckles and Rouge interactions were for comdey in Sonic X
in games and comics there barely a comdey
in rivals 2 there was no comdey
in generation there was no comdey just smile talk
in Colors DS there wasn't any comdey too
in Sonic 06 there wasn't any comdey , just made Knuckles look like an idiot .
and recently Forces there wasn't any comdey too .
Even if their interactions were funny , still has nothing to do with love and romance . Tom and Jerry hate each other , yet their interactions are funny .

For what I understood about Ken Penders Lawsuit, SEGA can use Tikal, but can't use Shade, create a new echidna or make Sonic Chronicles 2: sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Ken_Pende…
Yeah, it would benefit Knuckles, to be with Tikal or Shade, but now I gived up to hope. SEGA doesn't know to write backstories anymore.
When I said about exagerating, I said about your hate to Knuckles and Rouge interactions. I don't like their interactions too, but not to the point of hate. Hate it's too much for me, but I respect your opinion. And about the two being comedy, I'm just saying what the majority of the fans thinks and maybe what SEGA thinks too. I don't think their schenes are funny. At least, not anymore, used to think in the past. For the contrary, I think SEGA destroyed the characters. Even though I like comedy, comedy now is making me dislike the Sonic Franchise. SEGA doesn't know how to write it.
I agree with you, I wish SEGA could make her interacts with every character. I would like to see her interacting with Fang. And make other characters interactions too. But like I said before, I gived up to hope. After seeing how SEGA treated Infinite, I can't hope. I preffer to have my own headcanon.

- Tikal is enough to be around , there no need for an entire tribe , even if I like Shade .
- Knuckles wouldn't feel lonely with Tikal around and guarding the M.E. will be more meaning full .

Yeah. It would be good to see Tikal with him. Chaos could be also a company. SEGA could turns them into a Team. Better than Knuckles in Sonic's Team.
And if Knuckles and Rouge was friends and works with treasure hunting? I'm talking about a story, where they have a relationship similar with Sonic and Tails. No romance, no rivalry, no comedy, no character bashing. Just friendship and character developtment. Would you still hate them in this way?

-Yeah Knuckles teaming up with Sonic and Tails , kinda ruined him , not always but sometimes Knuckles was shohorened to team up with them .

It ruined him. But if SEGA, at least, could explain who was protecting Master Emerald everythime he isn't guarding, it woudn't be a problem, but no, SEGA preffer to do it without a reason. The same thing is happening with Blaze.

I kinda like Knuckles and Rouge together. They had their moments in Sonic Adventure 2 and especially in Sonic X. A very brief moment in Sonic 06 as well (Rouge gives a flirtaous grin to Knuckles as he moves away from her the first time in the cutscene after she and Shadow find the first chaos emerald.)
