Description Rover can get pretty worked up when he's watching tv, especially when the characters aren't listening to him

An illustration (just a quick sketch really)  for this story:  Never Been Kissed

(Rover belongs to me)

And then him watching a horror movie would probably be all "Great galactic gravy, get up!!! He's a'comin'!!! *throws popcorn at the TV*"

OH, yeah.  There would probably be even more yelling.

Maybe he's watching some kind of western style horror film with some stereotypical, hook wielding, silent killer on the loose. The General would watch it to, mostly because she's never seen human media before and he probably insisted she watch a movie with him

Hahahah, Rover you big dork. I do that too. XD Although I don't get that worked up, I do talk to the characters when I'm watching TV and I'm alone. And I throw stuff at the characters I don't like XD

chill13 In reply to artsytarts [2015-02-25 20:48:24 +0000 UTC]

Rover can be a super dork at times.  ESPECIALLY when he's watching tv alone.  When he's watching with other people he's usually paying just as much attention to them as to the screen.  He already knows what's going on and likes to see how everyone else reacts to it.

I do occasionally.  Mostly at those intense parts where some moron decides to check out that rustling sound in the bushes or peek around that wrong corner.

lol yes I do that too. XD Occasionally my mum comes up to my room and asks me why I'm shouting. I always think I'm not that loud but it seems I'm wrong

Hehehehehe >

People that get so into shows/movies like this amuse me. My sister is like this - she'll cry at deaths and sad scenes and sappy stuff. I smirk.

But I've grown to appreciate the differences in personality between myself and those like my sister, despite my deriving a sense of ironic humor from it.

(I chuckle so much to myself, because I just know that some of my guys - particularly Xzenor, since he's basically a male version of myself in a lot of ways - would find Rover's reactions to the tv both irritating, and highly entertaining and amusing in itself. They'd end up watching Rover more than the show, haha )

He really does get into things. He is one of those people that are fun to watch boring movies with because he'll make up for it with his reactions. And he's watched these movies so many times that he has them memorized, but that doesn't stop him from shouting advice.

I'm not as expressive as Rover but I have a lot of the same thoughts while watching a show. I'm mentally yelling, "it's a trap, don't do it." a lot.

Yeah, I give advice at times...aloud.  But only when I'm watching something for the first time.

Yeah, movie characters never listen to anything you say... They just keep saying wrong things, going to wrong places, befriending the wrong people...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

chill13 In reply to MerryellaBrandybuck [2014-12-24 23:51:46 +0000 UTC]

And no matter how many times you watch the movie/TV show they make the same mistake over and over! Will they never learn??

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MerryellaBrandybuck In reply to chill13 [2014-12-24 23:54:20 +0000 UTC]

Nope. I have watched the Lord of the rings dozens of time and Frodo still wanted to keep the ring!

And Rover is certainly not the only one Xanir (the navigator on Maggie) doesn't really understand the concept of movies and watching one with him can be kind of... weird
