As a little boy Gilligan was always into some kind of trouble. And much to his parent's dismay was always bringing home pets. He had all kinds of collections in shoe boxes under the bed, from marbles to bird's nests. He liked to explore the woods near his family's house but if it got too scary out there he didn't hesitate to run home to mom.Related content

LOL! Yes! I imagine so. To the Skipper he's always a kid. He never really acknowledges that his 'Little Buddy' is a grown man. Granted Gilligan DOES have a very childlike personality but he's not the moron everyone thinks he is.

I know! Of course, in my headcannon, Gilligan is a 'bit'younger and lying about his age...and the Skipper's godson. I love playing in my head with the idea of Skipper telling the castaways storys from his past, All about how he and his best friend since childhood, Bill went through school, then joined the Navy together. Then Bill married his highschool sweetheart, and made him the godfather to their son William Matthew Gilligan Jr. or Willie.

Thanks! I'm actually working on a fanfiction for that idea, where each chapter is another story, and he is 'accidentally' leaving out one little detail...Will and Bill's full names. I have a plan for the chapter where they find out that 'little Willie' is Gilligan.
