Really like the contrast of the sunlight and the cave light. Can't help but wonder what's going on in the lower left of the painting.

I typically don't like scenes painted this loosely, but this piece really stood out to me. Everything feels so right in this picture--I really like the compositional elements. I love that even though the gate isn't level, it is just how it should be. I like how the geometric patterns are carried throughout. I get a strong sense of intrigue from this image, and that is, in my opinion, its greatest asset. Beautiful work!
