I don't know what makes me feel like this, but the C96 is not just a gun, she's art. For me she is a war veteran (WW1, of course). She's the Pistol showing other pistols how perfection look.

It's not too bad. It's definitely primitive, but shares some features of the mauser pattern rifle (the rear sight tangent is pretty much the same, as is the magazine) The bolt has a hold open just like the rifles, in that if it is empty and the slide is locked back, the magazine floor plate will keep it locked open. It does require tools.
