My sis gave me a 5dvd pack about dale sr..life story and when he first started to race..and more..it really a great dvd pack....

I bet it is...

I noticed him the first time he raced in the Daytona 500 (I believe 1979) when he was racing about a 1978 or 79 yellow and blue Monte Carlo. I think that it was No2 with no sponsors.   

Dad and I were in total disbelief at how he could run with the "big boys" and have no real sponsors. In those days- they were running on bias- ply (hard as rocks) tires and the cars would drift sideways in every corner... 

It was REALLY exciting to watch back then before the modern day B.S. like purpose built ground up cars, restrictor plates, etc.
