Orion often gets lost in thought, dreaming of a world like in his stories. Because of this, he has a rather positive, if slightly unusual, view of the world. He wishes he could live in a story with all its brave warriors and dashing princes.

History
Dragonet (0-4)
Orion and his sisters were born to a somewhat self-absorbed rainwing named Miracle and her similarly narcissistic nightwing fling, Obsidian. Miracle didn’t want anything to do with them, so the three hybrid dragonets became Obsidian’s to deal with. He wasn’t unkind, but like Miracle he had very little interest in rearing children.

Orion, Ravenwing, and Starsign were mostly left to raise themselves whenever their father was out, and each dealt with it in somewhat different ways. Orion took to reading, getting lost in his fantasies rather than focusing too much on reality. He liked to imagine that one day he would get to go on some magical journey like the characters in his scrolls. He found a great deal of freedom in flying as well, and was the first of his siblings to learn how.

He wasn’t terribly close with his sisters, both being far more loud and brash than him. Starsign dreamed of becoming a general in a queen’s army, and Ravenwing loved getting into pointless fights with anyone she could rile up enough.

Teenager (5-7)
When Orion hesitantly asked Obsidian if he could, perhaps, attend Jade Mountain Academy, Obsidian was more than happy to escape the responsibilities of looking after at least one of his young charges. He hastily packed Orion off to the academy, bid him good luck, and was glad to have that responsibility out of the way.
