Cassidy's father, Jesse.

As a Gambitville ranger, he lives a rather dangerous life hunting outlaws and bringing them to justice. He's a sly and skillful strategist who utilises two pistol artifacts in battle which allow the use of Bullet Seed and Rock Blast. With these projectile skills along with clever use of Switcheroo, he can handle himself against all but the toughest of Pokemon.
A father of three and still on good terms with his fiancee, Jesse does what he can to balance his profession with family life. He keeps the identity of his wife a secret so as not to put her in danger, and has moved his children to Almomola and Tao Village to live as they please.

Learning that Cassidy plans on becoming a ranger, he tries to discourage his son from living a dangerous lifestyle, though soon he's forced to take action as his mortal enemy Black Dart learns of Cassidy's existance and begins turning his attentions to the boy. He swears that if Dart harms his son, he'll aim to bring in the bounty dead rather than alive.

Jesse has difficulty interacting with his oldest son, Kelly, who has chosen a religious lifestyle. Not being fond of religion himself, Jesse often laments that he finds it hard to identify with his son and doesn't know how to be supportive of such a thing. He often says openly that he doesn't consider himself a very good father, and tells Cassidy 'not to idolise him'.
