I agree with you. Flareon design seems a bit generic. But still, you did a great job on drawing it though! I like how you stick to your own style while drawing fanarts instead of trying to copy the fandom style

I gotta say, it's way easier to draw in my own style. Once I tried to draw in the style of three different fandoms (chimaruk.deviantart.com/art/Fa… ) but I don't really like the outcome
