can't believe the lies you hear, so just clutch your hands over your ears

After seing some sketchbooks that have been accepted by CalArts, I've recently become extremely motivated to really improve my art so I really experimented some with some stuff on this one (mostly coloring the line art and using overall brighter colors in the pic instead of the usual desaturated color palette I have; also making the picture more involved??? like instead of just a portrait I wanted to convey more of a message) I've also been doing allot of figure drawings, but those are on my instagram since they're all traditional ;;<;;

The character in the picture is Carolynne. She's part of the webcomic thing I've been thinking of making called Nathaniel's Notebook. I'm thinking of drawing the other two main characters in this sorta series of pics dealing with the whole "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" idea/theme. Carolynne is obviously the hear no evil thing. I'm thinking of these kinda themes being symbolism for things in the series ;;v;;

also thinking if I should just draw the characters with actual skin color instead of being lazy by leaving their skin literal white and colorless
