In the second book it confirms that Queen Scarlet died, and her daughter Ruby had taken over. (to my knowledge)

Nothing was spoken about Peril in The Lost Heir, but she might have changed her name to Ruby or something.
It was sad that she left, because Clay was the perfect match for her, since he was the only dragon that could touch her.
