Marker, Newspint, Tissue Paper, Spraypaint and Acrylic on wood. 1.5x1.5'An ubercliche Urban-Outfitterish something, or perhaps a 50's nostalgia wannabe. This is possibly the kitchiest thing I've ever done. Speedpainted, or rather thrown together, in a matter of hours in time to be a last-minute gift for my friend's birthday. He's into vinyl, so. At the time I was listening to Tree Wave, whose music is very representative of the better qualities of this painting.
Also, this here is concrete proof that I do not in fact know how to draw.

I really hate how UO has come to define a set of color schemes.

As far as I'm concerned its cute and fresh, not old and busted or repetitive of any other styles.

You draw fine. I actually kind of like the way the leafs are drawn, kind of simple and old-school, like a children's book illustration from the 70's. Wikka-waaah.
When I first saw this I was listening to Vanilla Sky, by Beth Orton & The Chemical Brothers... it went quite well.
