<Holy crap it's here! It was supposed to be here for christmas, but happy New Years instead!! Sorry it took so so long! And that it looks like a mess! But it's longer to make up for it I hope... I think I'm doing longer, slower updates for a little because they work better with my horribly ever changing schedule!
Anyway, yeah, its here! Soki is okay everyone! Emotional scarring aside that is!
And soon we'll finish the first day! XD I promise things move much faster and the pacing hopefully gets better from here on out, so keep holding on~I forgot to mention that the officer here is a cottonee I caught, then it promptly died shortly after because it's weak yo... But It was on my team long enough for me to start a character. So I used the design for an officer instead!

He literally didn't mention it, and neither did the Pikachu, but it'll be explained in universe eventually! Soki was too tongue tied and scared to properly explain things. Maybe someone will tell the police someday~ (She did!

Hmm, that admittedly seems a little contrived and unrealistic. Like I'd believe it if Socrates were much younger, or if he had actual clinic anxiety or something of the sort that prevented him from saying anything. But neither of these seem to be the case. Unless I'm misreading the character and the situation entirely, which could very well be the case.
I mean, I'd believe it more if the police were notified, but also couldn't do anything to help because of bureaucracy, incompetence, or lack of support. Which I guess in itself is a contrived trope, but it's one that bothers me less than the "main character can't tell police because reasons" trope.
Sorry, I'm being a bit harsh. I'm admittedly a bit biased against this trope. But, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. There does seem to be something more to Socrates (maybe he does have some form of anxiety?), and your comic has been pretty good up until this point. So I'll read on and see where this goes.
Also, I'm curious about this Pikachu. A new character/teammate perhaps?

No no, the reason for his not responding is that, for him it all happened very fast and he froze. He's has every intention of telling people. (This is a tad spoilery so I didn't mention it) but he will be telling Kukui, who can and will be doing something about it. The girl didn't tell anyone for her own reasons you will see, but needless to say, she'd have a lot more trouble if she told them.
Don't worry, people will hear about it, but Soki isn't the one to tell them because he's very afraid of police and getting into trouble. (I've been in Soki's shoes with having to tell the police something and I froze when I should have told them, so I know how he feels, but just like him I went to someone I trusted and could talk to so they could sort it out.) No worries, this plot point isn't going to be left hanging, I just haven't gotten the next pages out so it can be resolved.
I also hate that troupe, so don't worry, it doesn't happen here. There is a lot more to Soki than meets the eye and anxiety is absolutely part of it. I'm still trying to balance good character writing with storytelling so I'm sorry if it was unclear why he panicked and froze. I hope that helps to clear things up some. Also don't worry about being harsh, I won't learn if I don't know~ So thank you for telling me how you saw it.
As for the Pikachu... well, you'll understand her soon enough~

Ok. I guess I was being a bit harsh. Also, I personally have no experience trying to explain things to the police after an incident, so I don't know what that is like. I do expect that it can be nerve-racking though, so that sucks that you had to go through that.
I guess it was the way the conversation between Socrates and the police officer went that made it feel a bit on-the-nose leading to me dropping my suspension of disbelief for a second. Which is something you should avoid, if possible, when writing.
I did go back and re-read some of your pages and found that Socrates' issues with interacting with people to have a bit more nuance than I noticed upon my first read-through. So kudos on making a second read-through interesting. I like it when I can go back in a piece of media and notice things I didn't before.
I'm interested in learning more about Socrates and your other characters. Balancing character writing and story is hard, but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it!
