Description I came across and was COMPLETELY blown away by every single fucking thing in his gallery. And I was also introduced to SAI and Alchemy because of his stuff. Incredible programs!

But I'm REALLY envious of his style and brush work. I wish I was able to paint like him! He really just made me want to go paint. And so this is my result. I really want that since of movement he gets in his paintings. There is just so much emotion!

But of course I feel like I failed completely at this but practice makes perfect. Just going to keep doing quick studies like this.

Done in PaintTool SAI with Wacom Graphics Tablet.

Used [link] as a reference.

has some incredible stock photos. Definitely head over there and check out his page.

a very sensual painting; love the lines that suggest movement and your control of light

Definitely on the right track with derklox's style. I think it does have the movement you were going for, and personally, I LOVE the messy-ness of paintings, it gives them so much more character!

Practice does make perfect... Though I'm one to talk, I haven't created a single peice with my tablet yet. I'm thinking of buying this guys in depth video tutorial for 9$. Its like 3 hours + of video, which is supposed to teach you how to paint in photoshop with a tablet. His website is Idrawgirls.com if you want to check it out and let me know if you think it will help me learn something or not It would be greatly appreciated Chip! Or if you have any other suggestions I'm open to those too, I'm so desperate to paint on the comp but I'm just hesitant to start because thats just it, I don't even know where or HOW to start. I just need help doing one painting, so atleast I know how to use photoshop to paint, thats my only problem. Give me a paintbrush and canvas IRL and I'll make a masterpeice for you... Give me photoshop, you're going to have to walk me through one painting first It's painful I just want to learnnnn so baddd!!!
Please let me know if you think that website and that guys tutorials will help me!!! I'm so desperate

Hey! I checked out that site and I honestly don't think it's necessary! Trust me, I COMPLETELY understand your frustration. It takes awhile to get used to it. Photoshop can be really scary, but I promise it's not! What you need to do first is just make a new document, grab your graphics tablet, select the paintbrush tool and just start drawing. That is honestly the best way to get started. Just draw ANYTHING don't worry about how it looks, just get used to the feeling of using your tablet. Just don't get overwhelmed! I promise it will get easier! Do that first and then I will try and help you more and show you some tutorials and stuff. Tutorials that are FREE
