I just want to say, you do a wonderful job at capturing this, i am a pretty avid historian on pictish culture and art, and you really do a great job at showing the essence of caledonia, major kudos!

These are really awesome. I'm going to use them in a tabletop RPG game to represent some kick-ass warrior gals in pre-Roman Brittain.

I enjoy that the expression in this photo isn't seducing the camera.
Redhead stereotypes are so easy to perpetuate.
I love the setting and the design and imagination that went into the outfits!

great idea, beautiful poses and paintings and th models fit perfectly in their role.
but sadly the darker photos seem unsharp in a way as if you chose a wrong exposure. i think the noise is here very bothersome.

nevertheless cool concept.

You're correct, of course.

There is far too much noise. As I said in our intro journal entry, we're not photographers - we're still working out all the camera settings - we've just moved from using 'auto' and so it requires a lot of reading and practice. But I'm glad to hear you liked the concept

One of the few stock photos i've seen with a sense of composition. love the off center positioning. this is a great series. Is the costume your own work?

thanks for the comment, it's nice to know we're doing something right More a 'hmm... you know, this would look really cool' than a technical thing.. but still, ta

We each made our own costume, with a few photos of Keira for reference (it's still quite amusing how different both of them turned out!)
