The shades are pretty neat! Do you have any tips on using copic markers?

thanks! A lot of it is just practicing (which i know is lame reiterated advice, but it's true lol) but specifically practicing on the paper you're going to use. Like my sketchbook paper is very thin and it bleeds a lot but on paper like this it's much more stable and layering is much more effective. Also be careful when you're coloring in large spaces because once it dries and you go over it again you will see streaks/saturation differences. So either control where you're coloring or make sure you're prepared to go over the same spots over and over to get a nice even coating. Hope that helps!

Thanks I never put in enough time to color properly with copic markers. I usually (well, always) make better digital pictures. Most of my line art is printed out on bleedproof paper, but sometimes the printed ink blends with the markers even if I leave it to dry for a few days. Or sometimes too much paint leaks onto the page and creates a darker blotch. My shades are terrible too. I use pastel colors with cool greys, which I'm guessing is a bad combo. I'm fairly new with copic markers. I was hoping to make cute anime/cartoon pictures, so I bought about 20 markers with "Soulful colors" but I have no idea if the shades are right. I only colored around 3 pages so far. Here's one of them.

i definitely suggest inking with pen and ink as opposed to printing it out. It can be difficult at first but with anything, the more you practice the better you'll get at it. I still get smudges here are there when I ink too but I believe that's just bc of the alcohol markers mixing with my micron pens. Sometimes you just have to experiment until you find what works for you!

Okay that's true, I cant expect professional results after just 3 pictures

Thanks again!
