I get a strong feeling there's some symbolism going on here...
Via the Colouration of Cody. His Lavender Colouration reminds me of Canon Purple guy, though it's already obvious Cody isn't a killer...
But then I remembered something. The Monster bear seems almost... Caring. Non-hostile when it stood before the two kids. It only got hostile the second it realised Cody and Bridget were being taken away by Freddy, and The Bots mentioned it never tried breaking in before.
I double checked for both the mother and father, and I couldn't find anything to connect the killer... Until I saw Cody mention "They had moved here", and the bots had been around for forty years.
It may mean there's a connection between the Humphrey's and the killer Spirit robot
