The pokemon is Monferno. I haven't watched an episode of Pokemon since I was a kid so I don't know much about these little creatures. They look cool though.
I redid this background but used reference from picture.

monferno is the evolved form of chimchar, one of the latest starter pokemon the others are turtwig and piplup. There needs to be alot more african americans in anime, I'm not saying this in a racist way, but I'm getting sick and tired of playing as a japanese or caucasian in roleplays.
