Yep, Shezow is all male. Never turns female like Ranma, just gets put into a female superheroes clothing and given her powers, but still 100% dude.

No actual indication of that yet, actually. The character of Shezow is a "legacy hero". Basically, the magic ring MacGuffin was passed down through his family, aunt to niece, since the dawn of humanity. The main character, Guy, found it while digging through his recently deceased Aunt's house, put it on as a joke... and was forced to become Shezow. The outfit, hair, and make-up apply themselves magically, and he can't actually change his outfit while in Shezow-form. The kick being that said form also comes with amazing super-powers, so after the first-episode he's just sort of learned to deal with it. Strangely, there has been no indication of a romantic interest yet, male or female, so I honestly have no idea which way he swings. Suffice to say the cross-dressing part was not his idea, even if he has more-or-less made his peace with it.

According to my research, this whole TOOTSIE-in-tights thing was complete with another boy having a crush on SheZow. The concept is bizarre, to say the least, and the "she" puns wear thin fast, but I must admit I do like the rollicking theme song.
