Hi, thanx a lot for the tutorial. I tried to do the icing today for the first time to put it on a cupcake but the icing kinda run at the sides of the cupcake how am I supposed to make it so that it stands as a frosting?

Hey dear. If it runs on sides, it means it too liquid so you should add extra solid clay to it . The result of your frosting should come chewy like not liquid like or it will end up not in it's place. It might take few tries making it but sure you will get there in no time.. All the best

can you do the icing by mixing white glue and clay? ;o

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ChocoAng3l In reply to iiCharlie [2011-01-31 16:56:39 +0000 UTC]

Hmmm .. Actually I have no idea but I'd say try if that is the only thing you can get. You can try with small amount of clay and see how is the result after baking .. Good luck !

I use that same technique for the air dry clay but I replace liquid sculpy for glue. It's hard to find the perfect thickness though xD 'cus i I add to much glue it will be hanlded more easily but I won't dry fast and just falls apart, but If it has too little glue, it's too stiff and you can't anything with it

I use liquid clay but I usually manage it by adding
more clay or liquid clay xD ..

Aw, that might be my problem, I always use a small bag to mix my icing
How much liquid clay do you use?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ChocoAng3l In reply to maytel [2008-12-16 20:50:11 +0000 UTC]

o_O I won't use bags >< .. too messy
well I am not sure I just eye measure it
usually I will wait until it is about 2/3 covered by the liquid clay
and I end up adding more drops to it ..
