Some xatt design sales for Halloween! Each of these comes with a simple little snippet of backstory. Comment to claim!

#1 - Starlight Witch - $25 (SOLD to StrawberryMilkdog)

Special traits:

Bulb Style - "Dwarf" (RARE)
Bulb Color - "Lava Lamp" (RARE)
Color Morph - "Piebald" (UNCOMMON)

This friendly little xatt does not at all seem to match the dangerous and mercurial reputation that many xatts have. It lives in a little cottage on the outskirts of town, coming outside every night to brew potions out of mushrooms and moondust and chipperly greeting any visitors who happen by. Is its friendly and helpful nature genuine, or is it hiding something...?

#2 - Bandaged - $25

Special traits:

Bulb Color - Grayscale (ULTRA RARE)
Mutation - Whiskers (UNCOMMON)
Mutation - Honeycomb Bulb (RARE)

This xatt's hole-ridden, stark black bulbs give off an unearthy, flickering glow that make it feel "wrong" and unsettling even to other xatts. For much of its life, it lived as a pariah, but one day it disappeared. When it returned, a month later, strange bandages were wrapped around its leg. Every few weeks, it disappears again and comes back with more bandages. What is it doing, and what are those bandages covering up?

#3 - Swamp Thing - $30 (SOLD to SweetHeartSerpent)

Bulb Style - "Bent" (UNCOMMON)
Color Morph - "Reverse" (RARE)
Mutation - Star nose (RARE)
Mutation - Glow drool (UNCOMMON)
Mutation - Split tongue (UNCOMMON)

Legends tell of an unusual danger lurking in the southern swamplands. Born with the rare (and often fatal) "reverse" color morph, this xatt's coloration sabotaged its ability to hunt in the typical xatt manner. It has found better luck here in the swamp, hiding its tail beneath the water's surface and snapping at anyone foolish enough to approach. However, some say that this xatt has learned some very interesting stories in its lengthy travels... perhaps it could be convinced to barter them, given the right persuasion.

#4 - Haunted - $30 (SOLD to triskadancer)

Bulb Style - "Shattered" (RARE)
Bulb Color - "Fade" (UNCOMMON)
Color Morph - "Leucistic" (RARE)
Mutation - Tusks (UNCOMMON)
Mutation - Extra Bulbs (UNCOMMON)

An unfortunate xatt that is particularly in tune with the spirits of the dead. The bulbs on its head seem to pick up the voices of the dead like radar dishes, filling its head with the whispers of ghosts and spirits. Even shattering its bulbs failed to dampen its spirit-channeling abilities. Some have tried to capture it and use its power for their own gain...

#5 - Autumn Lord - $25 (SOLD to ghostbellies)

Special traits:

Color Morph - "Melanistic" (UNCOMMON)
Mutation - Lip frill (UNCOMMON)
Mutation - Worm tongue (RARE)

A xatt that styles itself as royalty, with a regal cape of leaves and a crown of branches. Does it have any sort of power, or is it just an act? Either way, it demands reverence and regal treatment from its subjects--which mostly consist of the local bugs, worms, moths, and other nocturnal insects of the forest it lives in.

Note that this specific design set doesn't come with free bonus sketches because the designs themselves are already in the style I do my bonus sketches in.

Some general xatt design rules:

Buyers are allowed to modify designs but cannot add any additional uncommon or rare traits--see the xatt species sheet for what would fall under rare or uncommon traits. (If there's a rare or uncommon trait you really, really want, PM me to discuss it.)
Designs can be resold. At the moment, there are no further restrictions on this.
If the design came with a backstory snippet, feel free to change it, disregard it, etc.
