This kind of scenario - you mean, as in an polyship between the three of them? Mmmh maybe! The dynamics (and possible conflicts) it creates among those three characters sure seem intriguing! though personally, I don't know if peachshipping is truly canon. The pairing was a lot hinted on throughout the series (especially in the anime), but at no point in the series do Anzu and Yuugi ever confess mutual feelings for each other and get together, so that I rather see it as one possibility - among many others.

I was told he said it in an industry interview, but cannot find anything other than fanworks currently. Β *Shrugs* Β Hey, so long as Jou ends up with Mai or Kaiba, I'm okay! Β

Yeah I remember having indeed heard of an interview with Takahashi. It's difficult to know what he's exactly said during this, since words kinda vary from one person to another, but basically, the idea about Yuugi and Anzu was that if she returned from America and had feelings for Yuugi, the two of them "may" get married or something. The use of the conditional tense makes it look like a possibility, not a guarantee, since by the canon's ending, neither Anzu or Yuugi confess or officially date each other, so I guess whether the pairing happens is been left open to the fan's interpretations and preferences.Β

it's such an odd name. Β They aren't really polar opposites, save biologically. Β They need a better name for that boat....but yeah, I consider this almost canon the moment I saw Jou's face overlaid on the clouds as Mai was contemplating. Β I think they would have a smart, adorable little girl together, and Jou would be the stay-at-home dad (personality kin to Ichigo Kurosaki's dad, if you watched that series) while Mai brought home the bacon.

lol I can totally imagine Mai bringing food on the table! though not before having an epic fight with Jou about their respective roles in their relationship! Jou probably gets used to it with time, though. And yeah, somehow a lil daughter seems more likely for the two of them than a son. :3 I love the idea of an overprotective Jou doting on his little girl!
