I had a lot of fun drawing tactics-style pictures! And was commissioned to do a lot of emotes (thank you guys! those are always fun). FFXIV and Monster hunter continue to be my favorite art subjects. My most popular pictures seem to be of the small, fluffy genre...

Last year I learned how to do a few new things! 2017′s experiment with Live2d brought out a love of animation: I made Facerigs out of my art (January’s Chi and March’s Moogle), and started dipping my toes into AfterEffects (April’s Shan and June’s Baby Dragon). I’ve poked about Wallpaper Engine, too!

When it comes to setting goals for this year, I want to continue learning new things but I also want to master the tools I just picked up.

ClipStudio Paint. I’ve bought the program, but I’ve been too shy to really throw myself into it and art. The brush and painting tools look really awesome

Make a music video in AfterEffects. Yan managed to beat me to the finish line on this one but I still want to begin my FFXIV music video. I’m not too disappointed in not starting it last year though - I’ve become more confident in animation, so the project doesn’t feel so daunting as before.

Draw more round fluffy things. I’ll just check this one off as an easy win.

Not chibies??? A bit of a stretch, honestly, probably won’t happen.

Growth wise, drawing something that isn’t a round, fluffy, small thing is going to give my art the most exercise
