Yay! two of my new instant favorite characters!! Cat and Bones from Jeanine Frost's books Halfway to the Grave and One Foot in the Grave! Most awesome!!For Bones I chose James Marsters. A perfect match if you ask me!
For Cat, Kirsten Bell. She wasn't really my first choice but I had the picture and thought it would work!
If you have any other suggestions for Cat just let me know!

Do you read the book about mencheres? Te cover is a bit strange, or? i mean the idea with the blood looks on the pictures good..but on the books it looks..idk cheap?^^

The idea was great but yeah, the "blood" looked like maybe they had just dripped paint on a perfectly good cover... cheap sounds about right

I think I see cat very close to the model for the covers. Possibly a bit more timeless beauty to her but very close.

Okay, I love you. I can NEVER find good fanart of these two and I LOVE love them. James Marsters is the PERFECT Bones, however. Though take a look at Cam Gigandet, with the right hair I bet he could make it.
I can never picture Cat, so this is perfect for me. This pic is AMAZING, too, how'd you do it?

as to how i did it, i edited her out of the cover pic for veronica mars and into a preexisting pic of james marsters. from the it was just color tweaking and smoothing it out. (all in photoshop)
yup, 4 so far and another on the way i do believe!!
she's also starting a spin off for Spade!

Since James is (sadly) somewhere near 40, I'd vote Cam for a movie--I'm hoping desperately that someone decides to make one haha.
It's fantastic. Is the actress's hair red for real, or did you edit it? The eyes look perfect, btw.

It did seem like a strong shade of red haha. But it looks so natural, you did a perfect job. How did you do it? (I'm taking a class on Photoshop but I'm not too far yet.)
Yeah, its so hard to make adaptations any good...can't have another "Eragon" or "Twilight" haha. But then, it could be like Lord of the Rings and be pretty good.

thank you! i think i used some color replacement, a light coat of normal color, and some color dodging. I also added some shadows either with color or color burning... i don't really remember exactly what i did though... sorry
That would be quite awesome! as long as they don't do that thing where they take the characters name and change the plot completely. i hate when they do that! >.<

Well that makes sense to me, I may mess around a little to see if I could do it...oh, and I was thinking maybe Isla Fisher could pull Cat off--not for the first book, but maybe the later ones. She looks good as a redhead haha.
