Well, whenever I think of a calm and peaceful scene, birds chirping are the first thing that come up to my mind I blame Snowhite for that

Talking about angels. I'll probably have to call in your help soon . I'm sort of 'correcting' an angel-drawing from a couple of years ago and I wrote something in Greek on the guy's belt and I can't remember what the hell it means to save my life (it's sad how fast a language disappears from memory if you don't get to practise it Makes me feel so damn stupid) So can you please tell me what I scribbled there if I send you a link once it's uploaded? It's bugging me like crazy.

And lousy weather here too, so that makes two of us. *sigh* Guess the rain's reflecting my mood cause tomorrow university starts again here and I really don't feel like it. Although I did win 500 euro thanks to the school this week, while I didn't even know I was participating in a contest, so that was kinda cool. Apparently each year there's a prize for the best masterpaper in linguistics and somehow I won But of course (which is typical for university administrations) the prize was announced at the second proclamation (which I did not attend cause I already got my diploma in June), and I was not notified untill a couple of days later, which meant that half the university knew about the prize before I did. This resulted in quite weird situations cause I had to go talk with my promotor before I knew about the prize, and I was getting all these congratulations in the hallways of the university building while not knowing the slightest bit what they were for

haha my university is starting in two weeks from now, and I'm currently searching for a part-time job, it's pretty much a little hell-like in my head and on my desk(all the job-announcements' newspapers scattered around LOL)

You searching for a job looks a lot like me searching for a house. Bart's desperate to move and he's jumped into action, so I'm currently being flooded with real estate agencies, loan info, bank trouble etc. etc. It's not me really, I'm not pratical enough for stuff like that . So I definitely get the cluttered messy lost in the information feeling you must be enjoying now. I hope you'll find something to your taste though.

Thanks Wish there were more things like that around . Too bad your university isn't doing stuff like that (but then again, I didn't know mine was organising prizes before I won, so maybe you'll get lucky anyway? You'd certainly deserve it! )

oh, really? If I'm not mistaken, you're going to move in together?! That sounds so awesome! I hope you're feeling better, dealing with the agencies and everything -- and of course that you'll be successful finding what suits you best!

As for me, firstly I was hired to help a 6-year-old boy with his everyday homework, but the whole situation was getting more and more demanding(I ended up babysitting the child! can you believe this?! actually that's what his mother wanted me to do from the start and she tricked me into that! why are some people jerks like that?!! Anyway, now I'm currently working in a video/dvd/games renting shop ( a Video Club as we call it here, dunno if it's the same) and I'm way more pleased with it!

That's the idea yes, but it's probably going to take a loooooooong while before we actually find something . The prices are incredibly high here in Belgium nowadays and Bart and me are both rather (read: REALLY) picky about what we want, so I won't be surprised if I end up hanging around at my house for a couple of years more. (not that I mind that much, Bart's the one with the irritating home situation, I'm lucky in that department) But then again, it's not really my fault if you look at what we've seen so far. The prettiest and largest house we came across for example had the enormous setback of having the craziest lay-out ever. If you came in through the front door and took the door that was in front of you then in the hallway you'd be standing in the bathroom; you could only reach one of the bedrooms through another bedroom and that bedroom could only be reached through the kitchen and then via the laundry room. And to top it all, the idiots living there put a wall in front of the stairs to go up, so now the attic can only be reached by using a ladder outside the house and crawling in through a fucking window. How's that for weird?

That is just wrong. That awful AWFUL woman was totally taking advantage from you . I don't understand where anyone would get the nerve to exploit someone like that. But sadly, I'm not even surprised to hear about it. My parents are both teachers, and sometimes there's even parents who blame the teachers for their children's bad behaviour. They expect the school to teach them good manners and don't see it as their own task anymore. The step to having a study-aid babysit is a small one from there. But really good you quit that job soon and that you have a more fun one right now.

....hahaha! Weird house is weird!! it was really fun reading this house's lay-out, but I think I'd be a bit lost and crazy if I'd be living in ithehehe

The bit about some parents expecting school to teach their children manners: so totally TRUE! But seriously the thing that made me completely furious was that the boy was 6 and still wearing diapers. Oh, yeah. They expected me to change him too (his mother said he had problems accepting the toilet and stuff...but how do you expect a kid to grow up properly when he hasn't even learned how to sit in the bathroom etc?!)
Aghh, anyway, sorry for ranting once again

Oh, may I ask you something? Anastasia had this awesome cute idea and....have you decorated your christmas tree yet? or...do you have a special date/tradition when you tend to decorate for christmas?

Our point exactly. Plus, we're doubly picky, cause we aren't renting, we're actually buying. Cause we don't want to lose all that money to renting and we'd rather invest it in real property. Luckily it's possible in Belgium to 'move' a loan, which makes it slightly less dangerous to take this step. (meaning, that you can take a loan for a house, sell that house, buy a new one, and just go one with the same loan but now for the new house).

That's a much NEEDED and DESERVED rant my dear, I'd need to rant Bart practically into a coma before mentally recovering from something like that. Actually, I probably wouldn't even have survived the first mention made of that diaper . That's really quite unbelievable a story. Damn, was she by any chance runner-up in the worst-mum-EVER contest.

We have this alternative modern style christmas tree (a large skittle of branches with lights entwined) in the living room. I do have a small 'real' christmas tree for my own though, which I like to decorate a lot (actually I tend to decorate the whole house anyway, no matter what my parents want )
