Hi everyone, been offline for a while due to some health problems and personal issues. And… I have been drawing a LOT lately… so don’t be surprised if I make an increased amount of uploads!! XDDD

While I was off for a little while (though still checking in occasionally), I came up with an idea or two for a new OC.

This one, in particular, is an OC in a Foster’s alternate universe of mine, Opal.

WARNING: MASSIVE LORE / BACKSTORY OVERLOAD

Opal is a(n) [deceased] imaginary friend who was created by a young minor and was inspired by their avid love for gemstones and playing out a lot in the rain. Many are unsure about what she is supposed to be, but she is assumed by many to be a large talking raindrop. She is very prim and proper (she gets easily offended by anything considered rude), and loves to live a lavish lifestyle, but she is also very optimistic and is always willing to aid in charitable causes, such as working to end world hunger.

Opal’s main ability is her water powers, and can do things such as form large tsunamis, water cyclones, large waves, and can sometimes even use her own body in general to make things wet. She also has the ability to eject a large gush of ice breath from her mouth, similar to how Bubbles can blow multi-colored bubbles through her mouth. She also has wind-based abilities.

Most of the time her body is said to be a jello-like consistency, but when touched she can also feel extremely wet. She is also known for her occasional instances of soaking others or getting things wet accidentally, and without realizing.

She dislikes very hot and dry areas (it slightly makes her evaporate), fires, and death (which she unfortunately succumbed to later on). Some of her favorite things include gemstones (she’s named after one, after all), ice skating, dark and wet places, snow and chilly weather (although she is able to withstand it to an extent, she doesn’t want to freeze to death xD), baths and showers, her creator, rain and water filled areas in general (it gives her energy), and her best friend and eventual significant other, Bloo.

Speaking of Bloo…

Opal was one of the first few imaginary friends he met, as well as one of the first few friends he had made in general. Shortly after meeting and getting to know one another more, they started to really hit it off, and the two became friends. Onwards, the two would visit and spend time with one another at least once a day, and after a while, they became more affectionate towards each other. And before they knew it, they went from being just friends to significant others.

Over the course of their relationship, it had gotten stronger to the point where they considered on officially starting a family and having their first child together. They also had the thoughts about marriage, but neither of them wanted to bring this up due to the fear of one finding the other odd. But unfortunately, that never ended on a positive note.

During her last few days, Opal began to suffer from health complications and heavy lethargy. Her powers, energy, and her soft voice would begin to dwindle. Their soon-to-be child was also involved, due to miscarriage.

On her last day, Bloo finally had the guts to do a surprise proposal to Opal (he’d gotten her a beautiful jeweled bangle and everything). But just as he was about to attempt this, he was too late, for Opal had started getting weaker and weaker, and knowing what was about to happen to her, they decided to share a loving embrace one last time… before Opal quietly died right in Bloo’s arms. After she had perished, Bloo had nicknamed the miscarried imaginary friend that had never gotten to see the light “Ruby”.

Ruby and Opal now stay at the memorial grounds at Wish Park (a universe only visible to imaginary friends), and he would often go to visit them. The bangle that Bloo had bought for Opal was tucked in her hands inside her casket.

Their passings would deeply traumatize Bloo to the point where he would go from being fairly gentle to being a crazy, annoying, selfish, greedy, narcissistic jerk who would do things like cheat people out of their money, annoy everyone about going to the ice charades, take his anger out on others, and would start causing trouble to the point where he was jailed on a few instances, although when he eventually got into a new relationship with Berry (after she herself finally changed her own past ways), the feeling of disgust in regards to [romantic] relationships, as well as the immense anger and depression would eventually subside.

(This aspect involving his personality change was inspired by his “personality rot” in Season 2 of Foster’s onwards, where he would go from being gentle to being incredibly selfish.)
