EQUIPMENT:
Stealth Suit| Also known as YUTAJA M-2 or YM-2. An experimental armored suit meant for the purpose of concealing one’s presence rather than providing durability. The suit’s main function is cloaking. Powered by Dust, the YM-2 warps light around the user's body in such a way that surfaces behind the individual are visible, simulating invisibility. Since Rose’s particular suit is only a slightly modified prototype, the cloaking isn’t perfect. Sometimes a slight shimmer, or haze can be seen and if the Dust power core is damaged the suit’s abilities malfunction almost instantly. The suit itself is made out of flexible plastic alloy, allowing is some resistance to damage from cuts or projectiles. Though any individual or object with enough force could easily tear through it in comparison to some of the more advanced battle armors.

Lifeform Data Analyzer| The LDA serves as a databank for individuals, plants, and creatures. Here she logs information on the Tarnic and other lifeforms she encounters, adding new information as her research goes on. The device is alerted whenever a known Tarnic is present within 100ft/30m. She also keeps the medical data of patients/Dust Collectors who have used her services as a medic. The records mostly consist of public information (height, weight, allergies, etc.) as well as any voluntary medical information provided to her upon treatment. This proves more helpful in the field when trying to treat medical injuries the most efficient and safe way. For convenience sake, the LDA can be connected to her suit, projecting information inside of her helmet.

Mobile Lab Unit| Another device Rose keeps attached to her suit. It is a lightweight yet durable container that houses medical supplies and sample collecting equipment. Rose keeps basic supplies (sanitized bandages, gloves, test tubes, tweezers, syringes, etc.), medicines and anesthetics, as well as an adrenaline shot for emergencies. The container is constantly kept at a cool temperature to make sure all medicines and samples she collects stay preserved while travelling.

Side Arm| A .357 caliber magnum with a silencer. Rose uses the standard hollow point rounds along with specially made tracking rounds. These particular hollow points are meant for tracking Tarnic, as they are more likely unable to remove the round, and send their location both to Rose's LDA and a backup computer in New Ironstead. The gun itself also has a tracking device for precautionary purposes in the case of it or more importantly Rose going missing.
Stun Baton| A collapsible baton about 2½ft/76cm long when completely retracted. Excluding the handle, the entire baton becomes charged with an electric pulse. The intensity of the pulse is adjustable. The lowest setting is a simple stun meant to ward off smaller creatures or attackers without killing them. The highest setting is potentially lethal depending on the individual and can possibly cause severe burns.

PERSONALITY:
| Practical| Sarcastic | Blunt |Curious | Intelligent | Organized | Reserved | Prideful |
A no nonsense type of lady. Rose doesn't sugar coat her words or dance around the truth for other people's comfort. She always speaks frankly. She was never the child with imaginary friends or a pension for fairy tales so as an adult she wastes no time on things that can’t be proven or tested. Her patience for things she finds silly or pointless is quite low. However, rather than get upset or start an argument, Rose is prone to simply ignore the source of her ire. When on her bad side, she can be rather passive aggressive and snarky. Even when she isn’t irritated, she’s still prone to making dry pessimistic comments. Sometimes it's questionable whether or not she has any beyond annoyed and sarcastic, but there are rare occasions when she is caring. Though this "affection" is reserved for a select few.
Rose thinks of herself as an intellectual and she certainly has the knowledge to back that claim. She has always been curious and investigative. Rose is fascinated with life, ecosystems, and how they work. When she finds something interesting, she has a tendency to collect as much information as possible. She doesn’t go out of her way to prove her intelligence, needing no one’s approval or praise. However, she is a very prideful individual. When she works, everything has to go perfectly and precisely. With Rose, there is no room for error. If her reputation is on the line, she will do anything to make sure it remains untarnished. Things rarely make her passionate, but when they do, she doesn't give in easily. Her biggest weakness is that she can't imagine failing, so when she does it hits hard.
HISTORY DOSSIER:
Rose was one of the lucky residents of New Ironstead to be born of into a family of means. The daughter of an aristocratic High-Ender and a Militia member, Rose didn’t grow up experiencing hardship. Even when her mother died when she was a child, she was not old enough to feel significant impact from the loss. She was raised almost entirely by her grizzled yet loving, sergeant of a father. Though the widower was left with the wealth of his wife’s family, Ferdinand Chu was not a man partial to superfluous fancy things and he wasn’t going to raise his daughter to be a soft skinned debutante who simply lived off of her inheritance. Little Roz was taught at a young age that excellence was expected of her. She was taught never to settle for mediocrity. Her education became top priority. Her father would pay for the best tutors and instructors on various subjects and activities. More than happy to please her father, Rose took her schooling very seriously. Never missing a single chess lesson or mathematics class.
When the Dust Wars began, Rose was eighteen and beginning her journey to university. Her father was already in his mid-forties and hadn’t been on the front lines of any Militia driven conflict for quite some time. However, the old man was loyal to the city-state and stubborn as all hell despite his daughter’s insistence that he defend their home from inside the walls. Leaving Rose in charge of the estate, Ferdinand left with other Militia troops to face the Atoll forces. When the war ended and her father returned, he was in ill condition. Their wealth afforded him the best care, but it was not limitless. Rose worked hard to finish her schooling quickly and began working as researcher for a privately owned lab that would pay her enough to ensure her father’s medical care.
Rose enjoyed her work at the lab and she was good at it. Eventually she earned the opportunity to head a large project. The project was to be kept secret from the public since the methods used to test the experiment were of questionable ethics to say the least. Rose dedicated all of her time and energy into the project, sometimes staying at the lab for days to run tests and log data. Rose was so meticulous and thorough with the experiment, that when disaster struck she was completely unprepared. A fatal accident in the lab ended in two of her assistant researchers dead and the loss of her left eye. The situation was resolved by a security team contracted by the same private party that owned the lab. News of the incident never reached the media, her employer making sure it was all taken care of internally. The project was terminated and many of the people involved were intimidated into silence and “let go.”
With all records of her work erased and a five year gap in her resume, Rose had very little employment options that would allow her to continue quality care of her father. So she turned to one of the only jobs in New Ironstead that asked very little questions about one’s background and paid well: Dust Collecting.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Alexsandra V. Vasilevna
An old underclassman and fellow scientist, Alexsandra holds Rose's respect as an expert in her field. She is aware of the woman's cruel streak, which she either chooses to ignore or doesn't mind as much as she should. The two of them are often drinking buddies.
Caitlin Hung
Caitlin's parents used to be friendly with Rose's parents. They played together as young children, but as their responsibilities grew and the Dust War took a toll on both families, they grew apart. Rose occasionally hears news about Caitlin from her father.
OTHER:
Her equipment was taken from her previous employer thanks to a colleague who worked on disposing projects that hit a dead end or were deemed "non profitable" Since her specialty doesn't lie in tech, there is very little chance of her improving upon the equipment she has (unless someone wants to assist her)
RP METHOD: Google docs or notes will get the fastest replies from me. If you have any other method you prefer, just let me know. I’m open to a lot.
SHIPPING?: oh man such hard hitting questions I’m always open to platonic ships(gurl needs a squad) and crack ships are cool too. As for romantic shipping, I prefer developing a friendship/trust between characters before letting a ship sail ♡
