I had a wine out of Arizona vineyard that was something like that. a Zinfandel that hit the palette with everything at once. It took about two years for the wine to settle down and then It was outstanding. I can't remember the vineyard sadly

The funny thing about wine or cigars is they age and what you remember wont be the same as it was thenΒ
and sometimes with wine what you remember is affected by the ambiance of where you where trying it.
(or how much you tried LOL)

three things to note here: one- on the third panel RD got a wing boner... excellent just simply excellent
two- on fourth panel, how does Dash get hit when she's on the other side of the bar? Teleportation?
and finally three- the second panel... enough said if you know what I'm talking about *wink wink*

Lol, K.O. Finish her! "Sparkle Cola Rad, It's like buck to the face with Radishes!" - Fallout Equestria. This was cool after the buck to the face I could only think of two things mortal combat and Fallout Equestria. Very nicely done that lines of action were great. The bartender has a great uppercut.

For some reason, I jumped to the assumption that the fourth panel didn't physically happen and took the longest time trying to figure out why the comic ended with a worried-looking mare and no apparent punchline.

Interesting. I did not anticipate that interpretation. I omitted the background because I was afraid it would be too busy and wanted to focus on the action (Cork Dork was supposed to have walked back to the tasting bar between panels 3 and 4), but clearly there was too much ambiguity.

Same here. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have figured that out at all if it weren't for your comment.
Between the abstract design of the fourth panel and the fact that in the previous panel she was all the way on the other side of the room (with a counter between her and Dash, no less), it didn't seem like a scene that was intended to be taken literally.

Mister-U In reply to HalflingPony [2015-12-06 04:03:56 +0000 UTC]
Definitely. The fourth panel reminded me in particular of Pinkie's imaginary sequence with Cranky in A Friend Indeed. There are good reasons for the artist to have chosen to have that frame that way (i.e. making the action shot stand out, saving time by not doing a background, etc.), but a change of art style for imaginary sequences is quite common and there is definitely potential for confusion in the case of portraying an unexpected event.
Also, punchline. Lol.

Well, there isn't really a punchline beyond her excited gesticulations causing her metaphorical description of the wineβs intense flavor to become literal. This is a great wine, btw.
