Another classic Canadian cartoon from my youth.

YVON OF THE YUKON is about an eccentric Frenchman named Yvon Ducharme, who sails the seas in search of new land in the name of France and King Louis XIV. While on his travels, Yvon gets lost in the tundra, gets knocked off his boat and is frozen by a block of ice. 300 years later, Yvon is free from his icy prison when a sled dog pisses on the block of ice. So now Yvon lives in the Arctic town of UpyerMukluk, and tries to blend into modern society. Unfortunately, the residents of the tiny town will have to adjust to Yvon's crazy antics.

This was one of the shows I would watch all the time as a kid. The gross-out visual gags and designs were the best part, and I eventually used some of the design traits in my own drawing style. Looking back, I also noticed some moments that may be considered a bit risqué for a kids cartoon nowadays. For example, one of the supporting characters is a scrawny drunken idiot who always bellows to his wife "BEER ME!" How is that not a internet meme?
