Dawn is Akane Nozomi's year-younger sister, and the mother to Mei and Ling Hikaris (and aunt to Rosa, of course). Very different from the retired fighting veteran that is Akane, Dawn has little fighting experience and is more of a hard-working mother who most likely could never reach the status of glory that her sister strives with. Unlike Akane who is very expressive and fit, Dawn is a calm mom who is rather unfit. She shows to have strong faith in her daughter Mei, especially when she learned that she wanted to fight and be in dangerous adventures, just like her older Nozomi cousin. The vast homemaker taught her daughters to be very polite in the most kind, yet disciplining manners. Mei is always trying to be as good as, if not better than Rosa, even if it never feels like that to anyone but Dawn that she can. This stay-at-home mom lives a strictly-peaceful lifestyle compared to the rest, and is always frazzled by the amusement others partake in.

Dawn's only experiences in fighting, being miniscule compared to Akane's, is having boxing practices with a few others that she met from fitness classes. She could win a boxing match, though not necessarily granted that will happen. Dawn would only do this type of stuff for fun, ignoring the competitive sides of combat. Aside from physical combating, Dawn also has light magic that she taught Mei how to use. Such abilities Dawn possesses included are invisibility, reflection, and blinding visions of others. Also being a medic before being married and having Mei, she is superior with healing and stat-boosting spells. Her husband Mr. Hikari remains unknown, though it is nice to have Dawn and Akane get surnames named after the two fastest bullet trains in existence.
