Description We keep walking for the next hour or so until we find a nice decent-sized house on a rather large hill.  It seems like a nice place to stay for the night, so we make our way up to the door.  The lock is still on, so Rachel picks the lock while Alex and I stand watch.

"Okay then," Rachel says as the lock clicks and the door swings open.  "Just because the front door was locked doesn't mean anything.  We still need to check all of the rooms for any dangers.  Keep at the ready."  With this said, she turns and walks in, both pistols at the ready.  We walk behind her and I pump my shotgun.  I walk down the stairs to check the basement.

The main room is clear, as if the owner cleaned it and never stepped in it.  I have never seen such an obnoxiously clean room.  The doors are firmly shut and the windows are locked.  Then I walk into the bedroom.  There is blood everywhere.  Rusty hooks hang from the ceiling and one of them holds a mutilated body.  It is a woman, I think.  It is so torn and destroyed that it could honestly go either way.  The face is contorted in pain and I can almost hear her screams that are long gone.  The blood on the floor is sticky and gives off an odor that makes me want to vomit up everything in the world.  Tears are welling in my eyes from both shock and smell.  On the walls, there is an odd symbol drawn in thick blood.  It is a circle with a jagged strike through it.  I back out of the room and lock it, sliding on the wall down to the floor.

It takes me a few minutes to catch my breath and regain my composure.
